Visitor Center

The Sea And Desert Interpretive Association operates an interpretive gift shop at the park’s Visitor’s Center. It is staffed by knowledgeable volunteers who can help answer your questions and point you in the right direction on your Salton Sea adventure. The shop offers a wide variety of books, free pamphlets, interpretive expositions and other materials that will help you to understand this complicated and beautiful ecosystem. All profits from the shop go towards our non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to spread the word and educate the public about the Salton Sea and the surrounding desert ecosystem. Drop by and say hello at the visitor center. Look around and enjoy this priceless desert environment.

The Salton Sea Visitor Center is located right off of Highway 111 and is only a few feet from the shores of the amazing Salton Sea. Picnic facilities and fishing are always popular attractions at the Salton Sea. It’s only short 40 minute drive from Palm Springs and offers fun and adventure for the entire family!
